Bhutan: Sacred Travel
A journey to Bhutan can be a life-changing experience.
Winter Purba Drubchen + Eastern Bhutan
An Invitation-Only Opportunity to Deep Practice in the Land of the Thunder Dragon
This is not a conventional tour or sightseeing trek. It is a rare, high-intensity pilgrimage meticulously crafted for seasoned Vajrayana practitioners who are ready to cross thresholds of intense, sustained practice.
The spiritual anchor of this journey is an immersive five-day retreat at Ngajur Pema Chopheling Monastery in the remote Kheng region of Zhemgang. Here, you will have the extraordinary privilege of sitting in the immediate presence of Her Eminence Khandro Dorje Phagmo Rinpoche. Participants must be prepared for rigorous discipline, including sitting for multiple hours per day in formal practice, receiving direct transmissions, and absorbing the silent, profound wisdom of a living master.
Surrounding this retreat, we will track the sacred topography of Guru Rinpoche across Bhutan—from the body-imprint cave of Kurjey Lhakhang in Bumthang to the demon-subjugation rock of Gom Kora in the far east, culminating at Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest). This journey demands physical stamina, emotional maturity, and a deeply cultivated devotion to the path of the Dakini and the lineage masters.
By invitation only or carefully reviewed applications. Interested applicants inquire here.
